Mrs. Shannon Lynch
Mrs. Lynch and her husband, John, have two great kids, Vohn and Parker, who are former Messiah students. They enjoy spending time together as a family playing Rock Band and Sing Star, and watching OU football games.
Messiah Lutheran School’s Pre-Kindergarten is offered in either a half-day or full-day format. Our half-day Pre-K meets from 8:20-11:30 on Monday through Friday. The full-day Pre-K meets during regular school hours (M-F 8:20-3:30), during the school year.
In Pre-K, children are engaged in developmentally appropriate learning. Through the use of learning centers, thematic units, music, movement, and hands-on activities, children are creatively engaged in the learning process.
Basic Christian principles are taught and made a part of each school day. Children learn what God teaches us in the Bible (Treat each other like you would like to be treated.), and focus on making good choices. The children enjoy “Jesus Time” each day, and they attend weekly chapel. Music and PE classes are also part of each school week.
Each week the children focus on a different letter of the alphabet, learning the sound(s) it makes and the correct letter formation. Children also learn colors, days of the week, months of the year, and numbers 1 through 20 in both English and Spanish. Learning centers incorporate Math, Science, Language, Reading, Art, and Music/Movement activities.
